Thorncrown Chapel by E. Fay Jones

Nestled in a woodland setting, Thorncrown Chapel by E. Fay Jones rises forty-eight feet into the Ozark sky. This superb wooden structure includes 425 windows and over 6,000 square feet of glass. It sits atop more than 100 tons of native rock and shaded flagstone, making it combination perfectly having its setting. Because the chapel opened in 1980, around six million people have visited this woodland sanctuary. Designed by renowned architect E. The creativity for Thorncrown Chapel was Sainte Chappelle, Paris’light stuffed medieval chapel. Fay affectionately marked Thorncrown’s design as «Ozark Gothic.» The chapel rises 48 feet in to the sky with around 6,000 square feet of glass and 425 windows. Its measurements are 24 feet by 60 feet. The chapel is created using all natural products to fit their normal setting. The sole metal in the framework types a diamond formed design in its wooden trusses.
